Dynamic Dental Solutions: March 2025 Newsletter
April 2, 2026

A Message from Sheena Lyall
As we move into spring, it’s encouraging to see activity across the dental sector beginning to pick up again after a relatively cautious start to the year. Many laboratories and clinicians spent the early months focusing on workflow efficiencies and planning ahead, and we’re now starting to see that preparation translate into new cases and renewed momentum.
At Dynamic Dental Solutions, we’ve continued working closely with our laboratory partners across the UK, discussing materials, workflows, and the small changes that can make a big difference in productivity and reliability. These conversations are always valuable, because they reinforce something we believe strongly: the right materials and components can dramatically influence both efficiency and clinical outcomes.
This month’s newsletter focuses on one of those materials that continues to stand the test of time - Talladium Tilite. Despite decades of innovation in dental materials, Tilite remains one of the most respected and reliable non-precious alloys available to dental laboratories worldwide.

Talladium Tilite - Not All Alloys Are the Same
Most dental laboratories use non-precious alloys every day. However, not all alloys are created equal.
Many alloys available on the market today originate from recycled industrial metals where purity can vary significantly. This inconsistency can lead to issues with castability, oxidation, and porcelain bonding.
Talladium Tilite, by contrast, is manufactured using medically pure metals, resulting in one of the most biocompatible non-precious alloys available. Because of this purity, Tilite is often compared to gold for its reliability, consistency, and safety.
For technicians working under pressure to deliver predictable results, this difference in material quality quickly becomes clear in the laboratory.
Why Laboratories Continue to Choose Tilite
Because Tilite is produced using medically pure metals rather than recycled industrial materials, technicians benefit from a number of practical advantages:
- Fewer casting defects and miscasts
- Reduced finishing and polishing time
- Consistent and predictable oxide formation
- Strong, reliable porcelain bonding
- Sprues and buttons can be reused without adding fresh alloy
Although Tilite may appear slightly more expensive per crown at first glance, laboratories often find the opposite is true in practice. Reduced labour time, fewer remakes, and less material waste frequently make Tilite the more economical option overall.
When reliability matters, consistency in materials becomes invaluable.

When Dental Alloy Becomes Art
Sometimes the quality of a material reveals itself in unexpected ways.
One of our customers, Lenard Michel of Dental Design Studio in London, has discovered a creative use for leftover Tilite alloy.
Rather than discarding small quantities of unused material, Lenard has begun crafting jewellery pieces for family and friends - dolphins, turtles and pendants set with stones.
It’s a wonderful reminder that a material trusted for use inside the human body can also produce beautiful objects outside the laboratory.
True craftsmanship often begins with exceptional materials.
If you have interesting cases, creative uses of materials, or technical tips you’d like to share, we would love to feature them in a future edition of The Dynamic Dental.
Whether it’s a clever casting solution, an implant case using Dynamic Abutment Solutions, or even something creative like Lenard’s Tilite jewellery, we’re always interested in highlighting the amazing work happening in laboratories.
